The result of the vote is: Hunny!

Honey or Hunny

I'm taking votes! I chose the name "Honey" because I wanted a name that all the "grandchildren" like people in my life and my biological grandchildren could both use. I have spelled it H-O-N-E-Y in the past, but recently Lindsay Ann spelled it H-U-N-N-Y and I thought it was cute. This spelling was also significant because one of the reasons I picked this name was because of Leslie and Aidan; she is a huge fan of Winnie The Pooh and that is how it is spelled in his story.  I would love your opinion!

The "Kendie"

Skirt I designed for Kendall
I named it after her the "Kendie"
A fully lined A-Line Mini

Added the Kendall touch, a random contrast color
her favorite from when she was little, orange.
Kendall was pleased but I will make a few
fitting adjustments for the next one.

I Can't Help It!

I can't help it, but when I park my car and
I notice a whole number on the odometer I get excited!
I feel lucky, like I should go and buy a lottery ticket!

Cuff for Kendall

For Christmas last year I made Eric a stocking
out of a collection of  his old Banana Republic boxers.
He loved the fabric they were made out of because they
were miniature prints of sea related things

I cut the boxers apart and saved every usable part, so
I could make other things for Eric later.
Part of what I saved was the seams I cut away
from the usable fabric.

This weekend I re-purposed those seams into
a popular accessory called a cuff.
I used vintage button for the closures.

Sewing Project: Francesca Skirt

Kendall's fabric of choice...yeah I know, I was surprised too!
I have a huge crush on 1930's fabric, so I have to love it.
I hope to make it modern with some piping
and a coordinating fabric, if  I can talk Kendall into it.
I' ll keep you updated.
Are you working on any sewing projects?

I can't wait!

I was lucky enough to have a professor that owned a book store.
She was asked to pre-read this book and after doing so highly recommended it to us
So, for once I read a book before it became a bestseller.
I love hisorically based literature, so of course I love it.
I have tried to get everyone to read it!

I can't wait to see the movie and
how it represents the book!
