I Heart Technology!

Sony Cybershot

Resolution: 14.10 Mega pixels

Lens: 4.00x zoom

(25-100mm eq.)

Viewfinder: LCD

LCD Size: 3.0 inch

The camera I own only had 7.0 mega pixels and the new ones have 14.0 so I knew it was time for an upgrade. I have had a Canon for the past cameras but this time I went for the Sony.  It has a touch screen that is very easy for me to use and HD Movie. I am so excited to be up-to-date with my camera! I'm sure there will be plenty of proof on my blog in the near future. Maybe it's spring fever that has brought about this surge of technology updates. Most people are thinking about getting ready for spring by wondering if they have to lose 10 pounds or get some color on their skin. Instead of this I have chosen to enjoy the excitement of spring this way instead.

Kedron Elementary Heart to Heart 5K

The runners

Kendall won 3rd place in the 15-19 Division!

Start Line

LA waiting at the start line
Saturday was  wonderful day spent with my four girls and son-in-law. The days started off with running a 5k. Then we went home and ate all kinds of yummy homemade food the girls had requested I prepare for them. Then Lindsay Ann, Britta and I headed to the nail salon to get their gel polish manicures for Valentines (my treat to them). It's been a long time since I've spent more than an hour or two with all my girls, all to myself, and it was great!

Blogger Award

Thanks LA for bestowing this award on me.
You are fabulous!
As a recipient of this award
I must share 7 seven things about myself:

I love the color pink!
I love Valentines!
I love to knit!
I love to sew!
I love that God gave me 4 wonderful girls!
Roses are my favorite flower,
but please don't give me red.
I drink a cup of Constant Comment everyday!

I am suppose to pass this award on to 7 other bloggers but unfortunately most of the blogs I follow are professional, so I can't do this.  LA has already given the award to the one blog I could, Football and Bows, so I don't have any one to give the award to, but I love 7 blogs and faithfully follow them so I'm spreading the admiration that way!

Sewing Space

I was spoiled having once lived in a house where I was able to dedicate an entire room to my sewing. When I first started sewing I created a cute little space on one wall of our formal dining room. I have been without a sewing room for 4 years. The few times I have sewn I have just used the table in the eating area.  I learned long ago that sewing happens best and is more enjoyable for me if I don't have to get it out and put it up all the time.  Now that I have completed my degree from Mercer University I am finally able to resume sewing on a more regular basis. I am now looking to create a sewing space in my new much smaller home. I'm back to only having one wall, so I have been searching for some inspiration and found these lovely sewing spaces on the web that I want to share...aren't they fabulous!

Selma Cape

Just because I am done with school does not mean I am done with learning. I have knitted off and on in the past but became dedicated to the art form in the last 5 years.  I have mastered knitting socks, so now it's time to learn something new. I decided I would learn to knit cables, as there are many cool patterns out there that include cables.  I am taking a class at Sugarfoot Yarns http://www.sugarfootyarns.com/index.html
I am learning to make the cape below. I am having so much fun learning something new and cables are just as easy as everybody says they are. The cape I am knitting is gray in color.  I will post pictures of my progress!

It's really cool when you realize the pattern is really just
a blanket with sleeves, buttons and buttonholes
